My mission for Meyer Studio is to give all students a place to feel safe and authentically explore who they are through creating and understanding art. Meyer Studio is an online and in person studio that prioritizes compassion and well being, while also encouraging people to be themselves and step into their creative interests.

This is a highlight video of my art classroom of a private high school. To get to know me, you can feel my vibe best through this lens.

I am an artist, a teacher, a writer and a mentor. I have been working as one of the above for more than 25 years in a variety of art venues, including publishing, video production, social media, product research and development and theatre. With a Masters in Art Education and an MFA in painting, I am certified to teach pre-K through college level courses. I have brought my experience all together into Meyer Studio - a place where children, teens and young adults and old adults can grow in a safe space to create for themselves.

Primarily a painter, I work regularly in many types of painting media, including watercolor, acrylic and oil. But, I also play and work with ceramics, sculpture, paper and sometimes textiles. Any material has potential to be a part of art creation.

When I’m not creating or teaching, I’m with my husband, son and black lab, Ripple.

I paint from the tangible and visceral places around us and the emotive internal experience with high quality materials to process and express our world.

My work varies greatly between each series, sometimes representational and others are abstract.

“Art isn’t just about making beautiful, art is about learning that beauty is in everything.”
